Identification of solutions
Solutions and good practices will be identified from questions asked to equine farmers (Phase 1), and if needed, further farmers will be interviewed to deepen in information that is more specific. Additionally, some other scientific solutions will be identified from Operational Groups, Focus Groups, EU/national/regional projects and literature review.
These results will be described, categorized and discussed at the 2nd National Workshops by National Horse Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System in each partner country. Then, the National Advisory Boards will be consulted before sharing the list of national solutions at European level.
Needs and solutions identified in previous phases will allow a clear mapping of each involved country. Then, need-solution matching will be done during the European Workshop and solutions will be prioritized accordingly. Each country will acquire a clear knowledge about their situation and priorities, and these will constitute their knowledge agenda for future training and demonstration activities. National Advisory Boards will be also consulted to decide on which priorities they want to organize dissemination activities.
Further actions to handle potential gaps will be taken at European level. Indeed, further interviews with experts from national and EU commissions might be required to find more solutions.
